A Bit About Myself
DEDICATED TO WELLBEING
I became interested in Pilates in 2002 after attending a training session presented by two Physiotherapy colleagues who were finding the technique very beneficial within their practice. Inspired, I began attending Pilates classes myself.
Having worked since 2000 as a Physiotherapy Assistant, I began incorporating more of my Pilates knowledge and its key principles into my work to assist patients with their rehabilitation. Here I saw first-hand that it was aiding recovery and strength.
I decided to take my learning further and began training to become a Pilates Instructor with Future Fit Training in 2010, principally for self-progression and to increase my understanding of the application of Pilates in a remedial environment, as well as for my own health and fitness. I continue to apply that knowledge daily, both within my employment specialising in knee and shoulder rehabilitation within local community hospitals and local community classes which I run.
STRENGTH & PROGRESSION
Benefits of regular attendance and practise include:-

2. Relief from back pain and joint stress and restore correct postural alignment.
3. Create increased stability of pelvis and shoulder girdle and a stronger more flexible spine.

We have just returned from a wonderful 5 days in Valencia, Spain where friendships were forged, fun was had and sangria was drunk! Looking at an exciting new venue for 2019 so keep watching!
